You begin by setting up your income/expense accounts and budget amounts. If you have entered your Income and Expenses for the Financial Check Up report you can quickly "import" them as your income/expense categories and your budget amounts:
This is the main "Menu" window for the Cash Management portion of the software:
On the left are buttons for the most common actions, Enter Expenses, Enter Income and Print Reports. On the right are buttons for Setup.
Also at the top is a "drop-down" list box that shows the different "entities" you are tracking income and expenses for. Remember you can track income and expenses for multiple entities like your household budget, business expenses, club or organization expenses and more. You can track expenses for a virtually unlimimted number of entities.
To switch between For Who entities, just click on the arrow button on the right of the box and the "drop-down" list will open. Click on or arrow down/up to the one you want to work with to select it.
You will notice that the title of the main program window (way up at the top) changes to show which "For Who" entity you have selected and are working with. Reports in the reports window will also be limited to that "For Who" entity.
To create a new "For Who" entitiy, select the Expenses For Who button under the Setup section:
You will probably see the two sample entities ("Garden Helpers, Inc" and "John & Lisa Philgood") plus one with your name that was created when/if you "imported" your income and expense numbers from the Financial Check Up area ("Welcome" window above.)
If not, you can create a new entity by selecting the New button and entering a name for the entity. You can also use this window to Delete and entity (and all it's income/expense entries - BE CAREFUL), change an entity's name and mark the entity as not Active (uncheck the box). Inactive entities will not show up in the "Menu" window's "drop-down" list box to be selected.
